Bankers Fintech Council

WHAT IS IT?

The Bankers Fintech Council has been created in partnership with CCG Catalyst Consulting and various Bankers Association (AZ, CO, WI). The council is a unique opportunity for Fintechs and Banks to work together under one umbrella. The Council will generate new opportunities for select fintechs to connect with over 400 Banks. Bankers Fintech Council will evaluate the fintech’s readiness to work hand in hand with financial institutions (1) on innovative new products and services (2) support implementation of proofs of concept (POCs) with participating financial institutions or (3) license the product or (4) entryway into the US marketplace for our international fintech’s.

Participants include diverse group institutions ranging from community banks, regional banks, super-regional banks, international banks, and money center banks. Other stakeholders from government and academia also participate.

  • State of Arizona – Regulatory Sandbox (“Sandbox”) for innovative products and services. The Sandbox enables a participant to obtain limited access to Arizona’s market to test innovative financial products or services or other innovations without first obtaining full state licensure or other authorization that otherwise may be required.
  • Arizona State University (ASU) brings SkySong one of the nation’s leading innovation centers and accelerator programs
  • AZ Commerce Authority (ACA) is a prestigious public-private sector enterprise bringing together industry, academia, and government. Chaired by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs.
  • Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) is the investment promotion agency for the Greater Phoenix Area – brings support to the fintech
  • Sun Corridor, Inc. is the investment promotion agency for Tucson and Southern Arizona – brings support to the fintech
  • Arizona Technology Council works to connect and empower technology companies
  • Enterprise Singapore is a Singapore government agency championing enterprise development – to build capabilities, innovate, and internationalize
  • Trade.Gov – The US International Trade Administration strengthens the competitiveness of U.S. industry, promotes trade and investment, and helps U.S. organizations compete at home and abroad.
  • Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) is the Economic Development Agency for Northern Ireland

Who is it For?

It is a great opportunity for start-ups as well as established Fintech companies new to the US market to connect with a qualified pool of financial institutions. The Bankers Fintech Council will help match Fintech companies with the right partner institutions. The exact terms of the prospective partnership between partner institutions and Fintechs will be decided by themselves

There are no domicile restrictions for the Fintechs. International and US based Fintechs are welcome.

What is the Process?

Fintech’s interested in presenting to the Council must submit an online application. All applications will be reviewed and vetted by CCG Catalyst. Selected fintech’s will be notified and assisted in their preparation for their presentation to the Council members.

The Council will have four or more meetings per year that allows fintech’s to present their unique product or service. Each fintech selected will have 50 minutes to present including a Q&A session.
